Hey Askvillers,
It has been a long time coming, but we've finally launched full text search on Askville! We've added a new global navigation area where you will have the option of either searching for questions on Askville or asking a question throughout the website.
If you want to Ask a question, just click on the "Ask a question" button in the global navigation area and the search box will change to a question asking box. Type the beginning of your question there and then submit your question after you add details and relevant topics on the full question asking page.
If your searching for a specific question, we will initially show you questions with answers and questions needing answers (i.e. all results). However, you can filter for just questions with answers or questions needing answers by clicking on the option located on the search results page (see screenshot below).
This is the first version of Search on Askville. We will be working on improving the search experience in the future, but we hope this will be a welcomed feature on Askville. As always, please give us feedback on how we can improve this user experience.
Added Social Bookmarking Tools
We also recently added the ability to add your favorite questions using popular social bookmarking tools like Digg, del.icio.us, and Yahoo bookmarks. On every question you should see a list of icons where you can add the question to other popular social bookmarking/social websites.
We hope you like some of these features. We still have a lot of other features on our roadmap, most of which are based on the great feedback that you have given us. So keep the feedback coming!
Cheers,
The Askville Team
